1956 Lincoln Premiere
The new 1956 Lincoln
Premiere won an award from the Industrial Designers Institute for
excellence in automotive design. Like all Ford Motor Company cars in
1956, the Premiere had a lot of new safety features including improved
door latches, deep-dish steering wheel, heavily padded seatbacks and
door panels. Power windows and four-way power seats were standard on the
Premiere, which was the top-of-the-line car for Lincoln in 1956.
